Every first Friday, we hold an Opening Reception for a local artist whose artwork is on display in the Reeves House Education Studio.
Come meet the artist behind the artwork on display while sipping a glass of wine and swaying to some live music at the Opening Reception.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
DEBBIE VEITH is our April featured artist! She is a self-taught, visionary artist who creates lusciously textured mixed media works that balance the weight of shadowy mysterious shapes and the buoyancy of light with artfully manipulated found paper. Each piece is the result of a lengthy layering process that shifts between building up the surface and sanding it away. This technique leaves ghostly traces of what was once there, echoing the ways in which our own memory fades and changes over time. Through her work she invites us to reclaim our own memories and use them as a guiding light on our path of self-discovery, healing, and transformation.
