SEASON OF WONDER
Wonder stems from feelings of surprise, from the unexpected, the unfamiliar, and the beautiful. This season will explore all of those possibilities of magic, mystery, admiration and nostalgia that we experience everyday. By utilizing juxtaposing themes of science, history, and technology, we invite you to openly wonder, what’s next? Through engaging exhibitions, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking talks, we hope you choose to join us in celebrating the vibrant tapestry of our diverse and exciting lives!

This striking exhibit was made for those who wish to escape from the ordinary of a familiar world and step into a realm of mystery and fascination. Defined by the Renaissance-era Wunderkammern, or cabinets of wonder, these carefully curated displays transport visitors to a world where imagination comes to life. Blending science, history, and art, Cabinet of Curiosities fosters community amongst visitors who take interest in the unusual and unexplored. Let go of all expectations and embrace your inner wonder!

Ready to get all your art fixins? All the Fixins is an annual exhibition open to artists all over the South to submit their work for consideration by a panel of judges. Three winners were awarded a cash prize by the jurors and we had a people’s choice award as well. This viewing experience was a way for you to show your Southern pride for these talented creatives!

In this exhibit, devoted to the tiny yet vast world of miniature art, we took the small works concept a step further by displaying art that occupies only a few inches of space, some of which were so tiny, they could only be seen through a magnifying glass or microscope. These artworks showcased how creativity can be engaging even at the smallest scale, and provided us with an intimate viewing experience where we could marvel at the artist’s exacting precision and impressive attention to detail.

In this exhibit, we let viewers break all the rules by not only allowing, but even encouraging them to touch the art! We pushed the boundaries of the normally passive experience of looking at art, and gave visitors the opportunity to touch, play, and experience the work in a different way.

We showcased the incredible talent of our K-12 aged artists. By celebrating the next generation of artists and providing a platform for children to display their artistic talent, we are encouraging their creativity and inspiring them to continue pursuing their passion for art. In doing so, we are also providing an opportunity for the community to enjoy and appreciate the unique perspectives of young artists.
Taking place during Hispanic Heritage month, our LatinX art exhibit featured artwork created by artists of Latin American descent living in the United States.
