About

About the Talk:
Artist Talks provide an opportunity for artists to share their work and passions with the public, as well as offer insight into the exhibition as a whole. Be part of the conversation, express your thoughts and ideas, ask your burning questions, or simply sit back and enjoy the discussion. This is an opportunity to learn about the speaker’s artistic processes as well as their other projects!

About the Speaker:

Kennesaw State University’s Design & Ceramics professor, Lindsey Elsey, is an internationally exhibiting ceramic artist. Though she specializes in vessels and functional wares, her work is anything but ordinary. Elsey has an affinity for imbuing her work with inspiring storytelling and hidden meanings. The Reeves House is lucky to have her art on display in our gallery for the second time this season! We’ll let her tell you the story, but we will say this; Elsey’s skill in finding beauty within the broken, speaks true to the very essence of “Mended.”

Join us for story time with Lindsey Elsey on May 6th, as she recounts the journey’s her and her ceramics have traveled through. Spoiler Alert! The Reeves House may have had a part to play…
