About
WHY YOU SHOULD COME:
If you’re drawn to music that feels timeless, soulful, and deeply human — Martin Sexton is for you. With a voice Rolling Stone hails as “soul-marinated,” Sexton brings raw acoustic energy, heartfelt lyrics, and a stage presence that turns every performance into a shared experience.
Whether you’ve followed his journey for years or are just discovering his sound, this concert promises an evening of authentic storytelling, soaring vocals, and unforgettable connection. From stripped-down acoustic moments to foot-stomping soul and folk-infused anthems, Martin creates a space that invites you to reflect, connect, and feel something real.
If you believe in the power of music to bring people together, lift spirits, and spark something within — this night is for you.
WHO IS MARTIN SEXTON?
Martin Sexton is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter celebrated for his genre-defying sound, powerful live shows, and one-of-a-kind voice. Blending elements of folk, rock, gospel, soul, and Americana, he creates music that feels both personal and universal — with every song delivered straight from the heart.
Hailing from Syracuse, NY, as the tenth of twelve children, Sexton launched his career busking on the streets of Boston — selling thousands of self-produced CDs right out of his guitar case. Since then, he’s graced iconic stages like Carnegie Hall and The Fillmore, collaborated with artists like John Mayer, and inspired audiences across the country with his soulful sound and sincere message.
His songs have been featured in shows like Scrubs and Parenthood, but it’s his live performances — raw, passionate, and deeply human — that keep fans coming back again and again.
His latest album, 2020 Vision, is a powerful reflection of these times: a message of peace, connection, and resilience.
This event is rain or shine. We rarely cancel a performance prior to showtime. If guests leave of their own volition and the show is not cancelled, no rain checks will be given. We request smaller umbrellas to help those around you still see! Woodstock Arts will have ponchos available as well if needed. Tents will not be allowed as they will obstruct views for other guests.
Due to the intimate nature of our Event Green and for safety and the experience of all patrons, we can only allow Dogs in the General Admission Lawn Section. Dogs must follow Georgia Leash Laws and not disturb other patrons or the concert.
