CLASS DESCRIPTION

From improv, to scene work, to pantomime, every week we will tackle and explore different areas of acting! All of your hard work will culminate in a showcase at the end of the session! This class will cover a ton of exciting material and push everyone to try something new!

All skill levels welcome.

Students will showcase their work as a part of our multidisciplinary Collage Day event on Saturday, October 29th. 2 tickets to this event are included in class registration.

Class space is limited.

Please note that there will be no class the week of September 19th-23rd.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Kristina Gault

Ms. Kristina is a theatre educator with years of experience. At Woodstock Arts, she has been a Lead Theatre Camp Counselor, Co-Directed our Youth Spotlight production of Madagascar, Jr., and is a troupe member of our RepTouR Story Tour that performs annually in elementary schools across Cherokee County. This past Spring, she taught Broadway Bootcamp (Grades K-2) and Acting Discoveries I (Grades 3-5) for our Spring Collage Series.

REGISTRATION

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Join us for an exciting clay class on Friday mornings. Students will enjoy learning new clay techniques and exploring their creative side in the fun world of clay. We will handcraft at least 4 pieces and learn a variety of glazing techniques to complete their artwork.

There will be no class held during Fall Break (Sep 23)

Class space is limited.

INSTRUCTOR

Heather Stevens

Heather Stevens is an artist that loves utilizing creative objects in her work. She loves focusing on textures and combining art skills in unique ways. Teaching Ceramics brings her great joy; she loves that it provides students of all experience levels the opportunity to make impressive pieces. When Heather isn’t staying up too late obsessing about her own art projects, she can be found working with her own Photography Company, exploring the beautiful outdoors with her family, or working with her children to clean up the many art projects they have created. She has taught at Jan Dempsey Community Art Center, Jules Collins Smith Museum, and in various school systems. She loves being a part of Woodstock Arts

REGISTRATION

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Learn how to use your voice, body, and imagination to tell and retell stories! In this exploratory class, students will use pantomime, improvisation, and creative dramatics techniques to develop characters and dramatize familiar stories.

On the final day of class, students will be allowed to invite two guests to sit in and observe.

Class space is limited.

Please note that there will be no class the week of September 19th-23rd.

Want to create characters and skits off the top of your head?

Want to be ready the next time someone forgets a line on stage?

Want to have fun playing silly games with friends?

If you answered “yes and…” to any of the above questions, Youth Improv is the right class for you! Over the course of the program, you will learn the rules of improvisational acting and the fun behind improv games.

All skill levels are welcome!
