CLASS DESCRIPTION

Act, dance, and sing in your own musical theatre revue! Students will perform three songs from stage and screen.

We will choose one contemporary musical theatre song, one Classic Broadway song, and another song from anywhere!

All skill levels are welcome!

The final day will be an invited class for guests to see the students’ work

Class space is limited.

Please note that there will be no class on the week of April 1st-5th.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Lauren Volk

Lauren Volk is a Woodstock-based artist and performer who is passionate about arts education. She has worked with Woodstock Arts’ Summer Camp since 2019, and since 2022 Lauren has worked as one of the Lead Junior Camp Counselors guiding creative growth for students aged 5-12.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Dance, sing, and act in your own musical theatre revue! Students will perform three songs from stage and screen.

Learn musical theatre choreography staples and put them to use in one Contemporary Theatre piece, one Classic Broadway piece, and another song from anywhere!

All skill levels are welcome!

Students will showcase their work as a part of our Collage Day event on Saturday, May 4th. 2 tickets to this event are included in class registration.

Class space is limited.

Please note that there will be no class the week of April 1st-5th.

 

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Taylor Mancil

Ms. Taylor is a Junior at Kennesaw State University. She is a double major in English Education and Musical Theatre. At Woodstock Arts, she has taught through the summer camps, collage series classes, and most recently choreographed The Spongebob Musical. She is so excited to work with your students, and she is looking forward to a fun class!

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Kristina Gault

Ms. Kristina is a theatre educator with years of experience. At Woodstock Arts, she has been a Lead Theatre Camp Counselor, Taught several classes, Choreographed Matilda the Musical, Co-Directed our Youth Spotlight production of Madagascar, Jr., and is a troupe member of our RepTouR Story Tour that performs annually in elementary schools across Cherokee County. Most recently, Kristina directed our production of The Spongebob Musical in January 2024.
