CLASS DESCRIPTION

This evening class is an introduction to improvisation. This class will focus on getting you excited about improv. Whether you sign up to be a performer or to just try something new, this class is designed for you. The lessons of acceptance, confident vulnerability, and collaboration that Improvisation has to teach us can make us better partners, parents, co-workers, friends and, well, people!

This class ends with a graduation show on Monday, May 20th at 7:30!

No previous experience is necessary to take this class.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Robert Mitchell

Robert Mitchell began studying and performing Improv in 2018. He brings a variety of adult instruction experience to the classroom, from Leadership Development and Communication to teaching sailing on Allatoona Lake.

Robert is the owner of two small businesses in Woodstock. He lives in Canton with his wife, Lauren, and is the proud father of four.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

In this class we will focus on being mindful of patterns and seeing how they enable collaboration and alignment with the audience. We will learn game mechanics to leverage tension, and each class will concentrate on exercises that teach the improviser how to focus outward to make each other’s moves look great!

This class ends with a graduation show on Monday, May 20th at 7:30!

Entrance of Level 3 class requires completion of Levels 1 & 2 and/or significant previous experience along with director approval of admittance.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Joe Lemmo

Joe Lemmo became the iThink Improv Director in October 2017. He is a professional educator and improv artist with over 20 years of experience in public education and 10 years of experience in improv comedy.

Joe directs and performs with the iThink Improv Troupe. Joe also teaches adult and teen improv classes that each end in their very own graduation shows. He lives in Canton with his wife, son, daughter and cat.
