Department: Theatre

Anticipated Salary: ~$38,500

You will lead, shape, and elevate the production backbone of Woodstock Arts – bringing bold theatrical visions to life through strong systems, collaborative teams, and a culture of excellence, care, and creativity.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO HERE:
As Production Manager, you will be the connective force behind every theatrical production at Woodstock Arts. You will guide productions from concept to curtain call – supporting artists, empowering volunteers, and ensuring that each show reflects both artistic ambition and operational integrity. You will steward production budgets, calendars, and resources with confidence, while also rolling up your sleeves alongside designers, technicians, and volunteers when hands-on leadership is needed.

This role places you at the heart of our theatre-making process. You will build and mentor production teams, shape safe and welcoming rehearsal and performance environments, and help cultivate a production culture rooted in trust, clarity, and shared purpose. Through your leadership, you will help Woodstock Arts deliver meaningful, high-quality theatrical experiences that engage our community and strengthen our organization for the future.

YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

  • You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoy balancing big-picture planning with hands-on problem solving.
  • You lead with clarity, kindness, and confidence – especially when working with a mix of professional artists and passionate volunteers.
  • You are energized by the complexity of theatre production and excited by the challenge of making ambitious work within real-world constraints.
  • You enjoy teaching and training, especially volunteers, in making a remarkable experience for all involved.
  • You value strong systems, clear communication, and thoughtful preparation as tools for artistic freedom.
  • You bring a steady, positive presence to your work and model professionalism in all situations.
  • You care deeply about building safe, inclusive, and respectful spaces where artists and teams can do their best work.
  • You are flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working evenings and weekends as productions require.
