Back by popular demand, the Reeves House is pleased to present its 3rd annual small town : small works exhibit featuring artists that live within a 15 mile radius of Woodstock. All local artists are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. 

Submission & Exhibition Schedule

Submission Deadline: Monday, September 25th at 11:59pm EST.

*Please note that submission does not guarantee acceptance. 

**The review committee at this time has elected to avoid works that contain any subject matter deemed offensive in nature. 

Notification: Wednesday, September 27th by 10:00pm EST (All applicants will be notified either way)

Artwork Drop-off:

  • Sunday, October 1st from 2pm – 5pm 
  • Artwork will be dropped off in the Education Studio at the Reeves House
  • Trained staff and volunteers will be on site to check in artwork and inspect all hanging hardware. More drop-off information will be sent at a later date.

Exhibit on View: October 19th – December 10th, 2023

Opening Reception: Thursday, October 19th from 6:00-9:00PM.

Artwork Pick-up: Monday, December 11, 10am – 7pm

Submission Requirements

  • Open to artists ages 18+
  • Artist must live within a 15 mile radius of Woodstock
  • Original artworks in any medium – no reproductions
  • A maximum of (3) artworks per artist can be submitted
  • Maximum artwork dimensions: 15″ on any side. (INCLUDING FRAME)
  • Artworks that are a series composed of several pieces that are 15″ or smaller (including frame), will be considered as (1) artwork as long as the artwork is available for sale as an entire set
  • Artwork must be “hang-ready” – framed with appropriate hanging hardware: wire, d-rings, or cleats. Stretched Canvases also must have hanging hardware. NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS
  • Theme (encouraged, but not required): life a small town, or specifically  Woodstock.
  • There is a $10 submission fee.
  • Artwork must be available for sale. Note: Artworks that are priced under $500 are more likely sell. *When pricing your artwork, please keep in mind that Woodstock Arts will receive 40% of this retail price and the artist will get 60% of the this retail price if sold.

All applicants will immediately receive an auto-generated confirmation email that includes a copy of your application. Please keep this copy for your records to know exactly what information you originally submitted if any changes need to made at a later date.
