Heather Elson is the founder of No More Liddering, a nonprofit organization that transforms discarded plastics into art pieces to inspire sustainable awareness and action. Elson’s nonprofit work is currently installed at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Georgia Tech, Patagonia, Atlanta Beltline, the Ted Turner Building, Reformation Brewery, Woodstock Aquatic Center, and over 35 metro Atlanta schools and businesses. She is passionate about engaging diverse audiences through public eco-art events, educational initiatives, and gigantic artistic installations that promote environmental stewardship.
For the past 10 years, Elson has dedicated her career to counseling adolescents, teens, and adults in her private practice in Roswell, Georgia, where she has used creativity and connection as powerful tools for healing and growth.
Above all things, Elson is a proud mother to her crafty, fun, loving daughter Olivia. Olivia’s curiosity inspires the world to pick up a hot glue gun and see what happens! You never know what she will create but it sure will be beautifully unique, just like her.
Opening Reception for “The Plastic Perspective” will be held in the Reeves Gallery & Education Studio on August 7th starting at 6:00pm.
Stay Tuned for information on an upcoming Bottle Cap Workshop with the artist herself!
