Family Day: Gelli Printing Workshop

October 16 at 10:30am

ABOUT

Come join the fun for a wonderful hour-long Monoprinting workshop using Gelli Plates. Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that allows one to create unique, freeform, hand printed images on paper.  The process is very easy, immediate and low tech.

We will apply ink to the surface of Gelli (gelatin) plate using a brayer (roller) scraper, or paintbrush.  A variety of stencils and other textural objects may be pressed into the inked surface for different visual effects.  When finished, paper is placed on top of the inked surface, transferring the ink to paper, to create a permanent print.

Bring your enthusiasm and joy for experimenting with low tech printmaking!

Each person requires a registration at $10 each in order to participate and receive your print. You can select to sign yourself up or multiple people!
