Dive into an unforgettable underwater adventure as Marlin and Dory journey across the ocean to find young Nemo. With heart, humor, and the music you love from the Pixar classic, Finding Nemo Jr. is a vibrant story about family, friendship, and finding your way—no matter how deep the waters.

Youth Spotlight Participation//Payment –
The Youth Spotlight program is open to participation to students who are in 3rd through 8th grade.
The cost for participation in a Spotlight Production is a flat $350. Questions about payments and potential scholarships can be sent to our Theatre Education Manager Tyshawn Gooden (tgooden@elmstreetarts.org) or Education Director Katie Berger Wood (kbergerwood@woodstockarts.org).
PREPARATION
Woodstock Arts is deeply committed to building an inviting and inclusive arts community that celebrates the individual and diversity and treats everyone with fairness and respect. Auditions will be in-person on August 17th and 19th, from 5 p.m until 9 p.m.
Video audition submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, August 18th at 8:00 p.m. Auditions received after this time may not be considered.
At this time we are not able to house out of town actors.
You can send your Video Submission to zach@woodstockarts.org. Please Slate before your video audition. (NOTE: you will still need to fill out the online audition form along with a video submission.)
In-person callbacks for FINDING NEMO JR. will be on August 23rd, in the afternoon/evening between 5 p.m and 9 p.m.
Information about callbacks will be emailed separately.
For your audition please prepare- Please prepare from the materials provided – follow this link for the audition sides, and what songs to prepare. Each student should prepare one side and one song, but we may only ask to see song. SCENE MATERIALS HERE SCENE MATERIALS HERE and SHEET MUSIC HERE
We will be using tracks for these auditions, there is no live accompaniment.

FINDING NEMO JR. Character Breakdown
Marlin – Nemo’s anxious and overprotective father, a clownfish who prefers the safety of his anemone to the unknowns of the open ocean.
Nemo – A curious young clownfish, born with a “lucky fin”, who brims with a sense of wonder and an eagerness for adventure
Dory – An optimistic, bubbly, and sociable blue tang who experiences frequent short-term memory loss
Pearl – one of the Reef Kids, an excitable and friendly flapjack octopus
Sheldon – one of the Reef Kids, an H2O-intolerant seahorse with an appetite for trouble
Tad – one of the Reef Kids, a self-admittedly obnoxious butterflyfish
Professor Ray – Nemo’s enthusiastic, encyclopedic stingray teacher
Bruce – The intimidating ringleader of the sharks who is dedicated to adopting a vegetarian diet
Anchor – one of Bruce’s loyal cronies, a tough shark devoted to the “fish are friends” lifestyle
Chum – One of Bruce’s loyal cronies, a determined shark committed to the “fish are friends” lifestyle
Gill – The relentless and inspiring idol fish and leader of the Tank Gang, with a set of battle scars and a torn fin, who will stop at nothing to return to the freedom of the ocean
Peach – A mature, down-to-earth starfish who offers guidance and reassurance to all; a member of the Tank Gang
Bloat – An open-minded and supportive blowfish who is proud to be part of the Tank Gang
Gurgle – A nervous royal gramma fish who enjoys regulated cleanliness; a member of the tank gang
Crush and Squirt – A laid-back and encouraging 150-year-old sea turtle who knows how to hang loose and his son
Coral – Nemo’s brave mom and Marlin’s wife, strong and loving
Nigel – A friendly, sharp-eyed Australian pelican who is proud to know all the local happenings of Sydney Harbor
Ensemble – An assortment of ocean creatures in the big blue world, including the Reef Parents, Fish “Friends,” Moonfish, Jellyfish, Sea Turtles, and various features (Angelfish, Barracuda, Grouper, Sea Turtle 1 & 2, Lobster1 & 2, Octopus 1 & 2, Electric Eel 1 & 2, Seahorse 1 & 2).
