Art on the Spot: March

In under 3 hours, 3 local artists will create a piece of art on the spot that will be raffled off at the end of the night! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with the artists in our community, see the creative process in action, AND possibly go home one of the works made that night.

Raffle Prices: $5/ticket – Raffle begins at 8:30pm

*Winners do not have to be present at the time of Raffle in order to claim their winning piece, BUT winners in attendance will be able to choose which artwork they would like.

March Featured Artist:

Barbara Dorn is a botanical artist and avid nature journalist. She observes native plants in our area and renders them in watercolor. She is a member of the Georgia Native Plant Society and the International Nature Journal Club.

When I was six during summer break I told my mom I was bored. She sat me down with a crochet hook and some cotton thread. That’s when I learned to crochet. I did some crocheting then, but really started up again when it became popular to crochet with yarn and I was in high school. From then it’s been a favorite past time of mine when I have the time.

Heather is proud to serve as the manager of the Kish Center for Pottery and Ceramics at Woodstock Arts. She loves using textures and unique glazing techniques in her hand building work. Getting her hands dirty, exploring unique methods, and encouraging others to find their niche brings her great joy!
