This 8 week class is designed for you to get comfortable at the pottery wheel. Goals for this class will range from mug-making to larger vessels such as vases, so that students of all experience levels can expand their knowledge. We will learn all of the basic steps of creating a piece including wedging, centering, trimming, and glazing. Students will be encouraged to create at their heart’s desire and above all, value their creativity. The ultimate goal for this class is for you to feel knowledgeable about wheel throwing and to create work that makes you happy.
Class space is limited. Supplies will be provided.

Megan Yacoub grew her passion for ceramics while at school, and has her BFA from Georgia College. Her philosophy behind ceramics is that it should be a fun, creative outlet to express yourself through physical work. Megan’s work focuses mostly on functional tableware, however she loves to add fun and funky twists to traditional wares. She sees her time in the studio as an environment that brings joy and a sense of community.
