CLASS DESCRIPTION
In this class, we will take and in-depth look at the font Copperplate, which was popular in the early 1900’s. This classic form of lettering brings an unlimited amount of possibility and beauty to writing. We will use both pencil and pointed pen with dip ink. Students will practice the classic letter forms and learn basics of pointed pen. The book, Copperplate Calligraphy Practice Book, by Christen Allocco Turney, is the textbook for this class and is a requirement. We will be using this book in each class (see supply list in class resourses .) You’ll be able to take your “scribe skills” and apply them to cards, envelopes, gift tags, letter writing, and so much more! Six, 90-minute sessions will be included in this introductory course.
