2023 Summer Camp Counselors in Training (CITs)

  • Camp runs for seven weeks, Monday-Friday. Camp Weeks are as follows:

    June 5-June 9
    June 12-June 16
    June 19-June 23
    June 26-June 30

    July 10-July 14
    July 17-July 21
    July 24-July 28

    Training for Counselors in Training will be May 30th-June 2nd.

Woodstock Arts has a mission to engage the community with relevant art experiences every day.


We are seeking Volunteer Summer Camp Counselors in Training for our 2022 Summer Camps.

Our Summer Camp CITs assist in the daily running of camp. CITs will gain experience in different aspects of camp. They will provide support to counselors with campers as well as behind the scenes including assisting with games and activities, assist backstage,  set up and clean up spaces after activities, and other duties as assigned.


Summer camp will begin the week June 5fth and run through July 28th.  There will be no camp the week of July 4th. Training for CITs will begin May 3th-June 2nd.


Get to know the building and maintain the safety of your students.

Assist counselors to prepare materials and check in students.

Assist Counselors with games, activities, and lessons.

Use appropriate techniques to help manage classroom behavior.

Assist on pulling any needed materials from our supply and put them away properly.

Communicate progress and needs with Education Managers.

Set up for and cleanup after lunch, snack,  and art activities.

Other duties as assigned


Hours during camp are 8:00am-5:30pm.

CITs may work full or partial hours dependent on need and availability. 

A detailed training schedule will be made available upon hire. 


Successfully clear a Georgia Background Check for working with children.



Visual Arts or Theater experience encouraged


Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents

A patient and warm demeanor while working with children

A can do attitude and willingness to help others.


The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Standing, walking, bending, frequent use of hands, stooping, and lifting are needed. Depending upon the class, demonstrating movement for performance and sitting on the floor. Some activities will be outdoors dependent on weather.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
