CAMP DESCRIPTION

Middle Art Camp is comprised of students ages 8-12 (Grades 3-7). Middle Art Camp focuses on art production and encourages creative thinking and skill development in a safe, fun, supportive environment. Each week we will draw, paint, sculpt, and create an exhibit as well as visit the Reeves House Gallery and see a show at Woodstock Arts Theater.

Summer Camp Schedule:

June 6-10 | “Myths and Legends” 

We will use art to explore myths and legends from around the world and see a production of “Orphie and the Book of Heroes”

June 13-17 | “Ancient Greece”

Explore the art of ancient Greece and make your own and see a production of “Orphie and the Book of Heroes”

June 20- 24 | “Artology”

Get messy with physics, chemistry, and math to create awesome works of art. See a production of “Orphie and the Book of Heroes”

June 27-July 1 | “Imaginarium”

Take your imagination to new heights to create original art and inventions and see an Improv Show.

July 11- 15 | “Make Your Masterpiece”

Learn about famous artists from history and from today. Get inspired to make your own masterpiece. See a production of “James and the Giant Peach”

July 18-22 | “Illustration”

Explore the art of famous illustrators and write and illustrate your own story. See a production of “James and the Giant Peach”

July 25- 29 | “I saw it on Tik Tok”

Slime! Pottery Smashing! Color mixing! Try all the Tik Tok art trends and create your own pieces. See a production of “James and the Giant Peach”

Woodstock Arts is taking measures to ensure your child’s safety and well-being. We want to make this experience as comfortable, safe, and fun as possible for everyone involved.

We will be adhering to the following procedures:

  • encouraging masks during camp activities (subject to change due to CDC guidelines) 
  • reducing physical contact
  • washing hands regularly
  • disinfecting spaces after usage
  • monitoring COVID-19 related symptoms throughout camps
